American Association for Nude Recreation

The American Association for Nude Recreation – Northwest (AANR-Northwest), serves the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. There are 7 travel clubs, 7 destination clubs and 1 AANR affiliated business in AANR-Northwest. 170 AANR affiliated clubs across the country provide a network of places that provide clothes-free activities. Recent past AANR Presidents Pat Brown and John Kinman are both from AANR-Northwest.

AANR-NW welcomes all people as affirmed by our non-discrimination policy.

The Pacific Northwest offers a wide variety of settings where you can shed both the worries of your daily routine and your clothes. Skinny-dip in a natural lake, soak in a spring-fed pool or hot spring, enjoy an all-over tan in a clearing. Take a naturist hike in an old-growth forest or in the desert–and just maybe, walk the same path as the Native Americans before you. As nudists, we live in harmony with nature and cherish its treasures.

The mission of AANR is to advocate nudity and nude recreation in appropriate settings while educating and informing society of their value and enjoyment.

On April 15, 2018 the AANR-NW Board unanimously voted to reaffirm the AANR policy by-laws, Section I Article IV A which states, “AANR welcomes all people willing to conform to its principles and standards, regardless of age, gender, marital status, religious beliefs, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.”

To AANR-NW this includes welcoming all single, partnered and married people of all gender identities, ethnicities, sexual identities, ages, sizes, religions and physical abilities.

Please join us in community in our AANR Online Meet and Greets which take place on Zoom the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Our meetings begin at 8pm Eastern, 7pm Central, 6pm Mountain and 5pm Pacific time. You may attend as often as you can.

If you have received an invitation, you are on the invite list and don't need to sign up again. Our Meet and Greets are a great way to meet Fellow nudists, get a chance to chat and discuss a wide array of topics that our participants have suggested to us.

July 16–19, 2026 – AANR-NW Convention at Lake Bronson Club (Sultan, Washington)
Kick off the summer season at Lake Bronson Club, host of the 2026 AANR-NW Regional Convention. Gather with friends from across the Northwest for meetings, camaraderie, and classic nudist fun surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

August 11–16 – AANR National Convention at The Willamettans (Springfield, Oregon)
The heart of the adventure. The Willamettans will host the 95th AANR National Convention, themed Steampunk – Past, Present & Future. Immerse yourself in a week of celebration, creativity, and camaraderie as we honor the history that built us, the connections that sustain us, and the shared vision that propels us forward.
